Ammon News - A security force from the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) raided the house of a drug dealer east of the capital Amman, after information collected affirmed that the suspect was in possession of large quantities of narcotics and engaged in criminal activities related to trafficking and trading these deadly substances.

In a statement on Wednesday, media spokesperson for Public Security Directorate (PSD) said the security team arrested the drug dealer, adding that 12 palm-sized sheets of hashish, about 2,000 narcotic pills and a firearm were found in his house.

Under its continued anti-drug crackdown countrywide, police investigation teams nabbed two "wanted and dangerous" persons in raids carried out by a joint security force in the governorates of Karak and Jerash.

Police is tracking down the first suspect under 16 security subpoenas and the second has 3 requests and will be referred to the concerned authorities, the spokesperson said.
