Ammon News - The Chairperson of the Higher Committee of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) "Al-Bir Wa Al-Ihsan" Campaignm, HRH Princess Basma Bint Talal, talked about the importance of the partnership between the Campaign and the private medical sector.

She emphasised on Tuesday on the contribution of the Campaign to improving the lives of patients of poor families across Jordan.

Princess Basma said during a visit to "Al-Bir Wa Al-Ihsan" beneficiary patients at Shami Eye Centre in Aqaba, "The fruitful partnerships contributed greatly to ending the suffering of may patients, in a gesture that reflects the values of human solidarity between the various national institutions."

She praised the partnership with Shami Eye Centre that offers free surgical and therapeutic operations and interventions in cooperation with Qatar Charity.

The Princess noted the Campaign's keenness to strengthen its partnership with several national institutions, especially with the medical sector.

Dr Omar Zoubi, an ophthalmologist at the Shami Eye Centre, presented the cooperation between the Centre and the charity campaign through the "Healing Touch" programme, noting that 131 successful operations were performed in 2022 for the Campaign beneficiaries.

Zoubi added that the operations performed in the Centre would be carried out by skilled doctors and specialists.
