Ammon News - Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Poland's Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau Monday held talks on bilateral relations and further areas of cooperation, especially tourism, education and investment.

Safadi and Rau agreed to discuss cooperation on "promising" areas during a meeting for the two ministries as per a memo the two countries signed in 2021.

The meeting discussed the outcomes of a royal visit to Poland in 2021 and a meeting of His Majesty King Abdullah II with the Polish President, Andrzej Duda, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York in September.

The top diplomats noted the development in bilateral relations, saying the ties between the two countries date back to 1971 and added that the level of relations reflects the political will to expand cooperation.

They talked about pressing regional and international issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis, the refugee issue and the Ukrainian crisis and its regional and international ramifications.
