Ammon News - Brorphine, Metonitazene, and Eutylone have been classified as narcotics and psychotropic substances by the Jordanian Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) and are now covered by the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. (23) of 2016.

The decision was made, according to JFDA Director-General Nizar Mhaidat, after scientific research into the substances and their narcotic effects on humans, which called for precautionary submission to control in order to prevent their use for illegal purposes.

He added that the decision is consistent with an International Narcotics Control Board's recommendation and stems from the JFDA's commitment to reviewing the schedules of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances issued globally on a regular basis.
