PM meets Arab ministers of social affairs

Ammon News - Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh received Thursday Arab ministers of social affairs, who are participating in the 77th session of the executive office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, which is hosted by the Kingdom.

During the meeting, Khasawneh said he was looking forward to the outcomes and recommendations of these meetings. He spoke about the ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly its effect on social development and expanding social coverage during crises, highlighting the importance of the upcoming Arab summit, which is being held for the first time after the pandemic struck.

The Arab ministers of social affairs stressed the importance of these meetings to face the challenges the Arab region is experiencing and implement the goals and objectives of sustainable development and social protection policies.

Minister of Social Development Ayman Mufleh pointed out that the outcomes and recommendations of these meetings will be submitted during the Arab summit in Algeria next November as well as the Arab economic summit in Mauritania next year.
