Ammon News - The Director of the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), Raed Rafid Al Khattab, stated that the Kingdom will be affected, as of Thursday evening, by a state of atmospheric instability, as the amounts of clouds multiply and showers of rain fall on parts of the southern regions, including the city of Aqaba.
With the night hours, the rainfall extends to include separate areas of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunder sometimes, and it may be heavy in some areas for a short period. The winds are northwesterly moderate speed, active at intervals.
Thursday warnings:
- The possibility of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in the Badia regions in the evening and at night.
- The possibility of torrential rains forming in valleys and low-lying areas during the night hours, including the Dead Sea area.
- The risk of slipping on the roads in areas where it rains.
- The danger of thunderstorms.
As for Friday, Al-Khattab explained that the atmosphere will remain unstable, as amounts of clouds appear at different heights, and showers of rain are expected, especially in the south and east of the Kingdom, which may be heavy in the morning hours and for a limited time, accompanied by thunder sometimes. The chances of rain gradually weaken with the night hours, and cold weather prevails in many areas, and the temperature is pleasant in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba, and the winds are northwesterly moderate.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in eastern Amman today range between 27 - 16 °C, in western Amman 25 - 14 °C, the northern highlands 24 - 13 °C, the Sharah highlands 12-25 °C, the Badia areas 16 - 31 °C, the plains areas 28 - 16 °C, the northern Jordan Valley 32 - 21 °C, the Southern Jordan Valley 23 - 34 °C, Dead Sea 33 - 21 °C, and in Aqaba 33 - 23 °C degrees Celsius.
