Ammon News - Head of Jordanian National Center for Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC), Raeda' Qutob, visited Jaber Border Center, accompanied by representatives of Ministry of Health and National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), to check on health procedures followed by the concerned authorities at the border crossing with Syria.

Qutob stressed, according to a JCDC statement on Wednesday, the necessity to implement health recommendations and protocols, which were recently approved by the concerned authorities to counter health emergencies and epidemics related to dealing with travelers, goods and agricultural deliveries.

Qutob also stressed the importance of raising health awareness among workers and travelers and using appropriate health and preventive methods to prevent disease transmission.

During her tour, Qutob was briefed on the operations related to monitoring all agricultural goods and shipments once entering Jordanian territory until leaving the border facilities.

The visit comes due to the development of the epidemiological situation in neighboring countries, the statement said.
