Israeli project to build islands and hotels in Dead Sea

Ammon News - The Israeli occupation government announced a project aimed at establishing new islands and hotels in Dead Sea.
The plan aims to turn Dead Sea into one of the most attractive tourist destinations on the world level, as the occupation is inspired by the experience of the Maldives and Dubai, according to Hebrew media.
The project consists of a group of hotels that will be built along Dead Sea, contributing to the reshaping of the coast, with a series of artificial islands, peninsulas and bays, in addition cottages perched on stilts in the sea.
While officials in the occupation government believe that promoting tourism in Dead Sea is the key to reaching the goal of 10 million visitors annually by 2030; And that's as the sea shrank rapidly, leaving former beach resorts miles offshore and turning the former coast into a dangerous stretch of rocky craters.
The project plan also aims to double the tourist accommodations in Dead Sea, by adding 4,000 to 5,000 rooms along the sea by 2026; to fill most of the remaining open land on the sea.
Hebrew media pointed out that seven hotel bids were referred within the project, out of 17 final projects, as the occupation government invested $344 million in the Corniche expansion project.
