Ammon News - Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the committee to follow-up on the implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah’s Initiatives inaugurated on Saturday the new Ruweished Government Hospital.
The hospital was implemented and equipped with funding from the United Arab Emirates, within the framework of the projects it is undertaking to develop the region.
Issawi, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Yahya Al-Kasabi, the Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Hawari, and the Governor of Mafraq Salman Najada, toured the various departments and facilities of the hospital.
They reviewed the hospital's modern equipment, including advanced medical equipment and devices, to ensure the provision of an integrated medical service to the people of the area.
The hospital, which consists of three floors, and was implemented on the campus of the old hospital, according to the best international standards, with a capacity of 20 beds, includes many departments, including dialysis, operations, gynecology and obstetrics, intensive care, and sterilization, in addition to a laboratory, pharmacy, and service facilities.
Issawi said that the establishment of this hospital comes as an embodiment of His Majesty's directives to cover the needs of local communities and provide the best health and medical services to the people, especially in remote areas, within the framework of a comprehensive vision to make a qualitative development shift.
For his part, Dr. Hawari said that the royal initiative to establish this hospital constitutes a qualitative and additional leap for the advancement of health and medical services in the region, especially with regard to improving the quality of services provided to patients by qualified cadres.
He stressed that the services that the hospital would not provide in the past, in terms of surgical operations and laboratories, which were equipped with the latest medical equipment, will be reflected in the quality of health and medical services provided to the people of the region.
