Ammon News - The United Nations General Assembly adopted, by consensus, on Friday, a resolution to support the people and government of Pakistan in the wake of the devastating floods.

The resolution is the first for the 77th session, which began last month, and 151 countries, including Jordan, participated in the adoption of the resolution.

The resolution calls on the international community to increase its humanitarian assistance and to rehabilitate Pakistan, and expresses its full solidarity and sympathy with the affected Pakistani people.
