King, Oman Sultan hold bilateral talks in Muscat

Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman on Wednesday held bilateral talks, covering the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, held at Al Alam Palace in Muscat, in the presence of HRH Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, their Majesties discussed many bilateral files and overall regional and international developments.

Their Majesties reaffirmed the importance of working to expand cooperation between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman in various fields, to rise to the level of distinguished relations that unite the two brotherly countries and peoples.

Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Oman also attended the meeting.

On the sidelines of the royal visit, the governments of Jordan and Oman signed seven memoranda of understanding and two executive programs in the fields of mining, historical documentation, document and archive management, information exchange and supervision of the insurance sector, higher education, scientific research and innovation, cooperation in the tourism, industrial and labor sectors, protection of competition and anti-monopoly, and protection of consumer.
