Ammon News - An Arab summit, patronised by HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, of official civil bodies and institutions supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises will start in Amman on the 29th of October.
The summit, which will comprise 20 main sessions and ten supportive side events, aims to help Arab small- and medium-sized enterprises access regional and international markets, deal with diverse sources of financing, benefit from regional and international networks and increase their ability to expand.
The summit provides a regional platform that would bring together national and international leaders from the public and private sectors to call for developing comprehensive policies and strategies that support small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The summit will host almost 600 participants representing several economy ministers in Arab countries, directors of official economic bodies, economists, entrepreneurs, investors and business owners, as well as economic experts and representatives of intergovernmental organisations and civil societies.
The UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in cooperation with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), will organise the slated summit.
