Queen Alia Airport welcomes 1 million passengers in July

Ammon News - The movement of aircraft arriving in and departing Queen Alia International Airport and directly linking Jordan with 69 destinations, jumped 18 percent in July, compared to the previous month of June, according to Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Chief Commissioner /CEO Haitham Misto.
He told Petra in an interview on Monday that the airport saw an increase of 37 percent in incoming and outgoing flights in July, compared to the same month of 2021 when 5,359 flights were recorded.
Misto said that passenger traffic saw a growth of 33 percent in July, compared to the previous month of June, with a total of one million passengers. He added that about the same number of passengers was recorded in the same month of 2019 and about 700,000 passengers in July last year.
The number of daily flights in July reached 237, compared to 173 during the same month of 2021 and 256 in July of 2019, he said.
