University of London awards Princess Wijdan the Honorary Fellowship Certificate

Ammon News - AMMAN - The School of African and Oriental Studies of The University of London awarded HRH Princess Wijdan Hashemi the Honorary Fellowship Certificate in recognition of her efforts in supporting the artistic and cultural activities in the region.

In a letter to Her Highness, the university hailed the Princess’ artistic and cultural contributions as well as studies and research conducted in the areas of contemporary art.

A ceremony will be held at the university next July to honor Princess Wijdan.

The Royal Society of Fine Arts (RSFA) said in a statement released today.

Princess Wijdan, holding the Ph.D. in Islamic art from the University of London in 1993, is the founder of the RSFA, the Jordan National Gallery (JNG) and Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Jordan.

The Princess is currently heading the Jordanian diplomatic mission in Italy.
