Ammon News - The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), through the Jordan Gaming Lab, on Sunday launched the second cycle of its funding window to support digital game developers.
The idea behind the funding window is to build youth capacities, enhance their competence and production capabilities in the digital gaming industry, and increase their awareness of the importance of the industry, according to a KAFD statement released Sunday.
Moreover, the window will connect youth with global video game companies and help the KAFD in enabling the innovative youth to establish projects in the gaming industry and thus provide more job opportunities. It also provides financial and logistical support of up to JD5,000 for independent Game Developers and JD10,000 for start-ups in Jordan, the statement indicated.
Yousef Mtawi, who had received funding for his "Build and Blast" video game, which got 5,000 downloads, said: "Receiving financial support was a turning point for me to upgrade my equipment and fast track achievements," he said.
He recently participated in WN Conference Istanbul'22 through the KAFD funding and has been able to carry out promotion campaigns for his game on mobile stores after gaining more experience in the field.
The statement called on interested individuals or start-ups looking for opportunities to support their digital projects to apply to the window, within the application criteria, through
