Netherlands top EU destination for Jordanian exports in Q1 2022

Ammon News - The Netherlands was Jordan's top European destination for exports in the first three months of 2022, with JD12 million compared to JD9 million in the same period of 2021, according to official statistics.

Meanwhile, Jordanian imports from the Netherlands totaled JD38 million in the January-April period of 2022, compared to JD37 million in 2021, while the two countries’ trade balance deficit dropped from JD28 million to JD26 million.


Trade exchange between the two nations stood at JD50 million, with textile and cotton garments, chemical residues, prepared or preserved canned chickpeas, and dried dates being the top Jordanian exports to the European nation.

As for the imports from the Netherlands, Jordan brings baby food, chocolate, prepared or preserved potatoes, butter, cocoa powder, ornamental plants, in addition to electrodiagnostic devices for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
