House speaker, Korean parliament delegation talk ties

Ammon News - Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Abdul Karim Dughmi on Sunday received a South Korean parliament delegation headed by member of the National Assembly Lee Won-wook to enhance bilateral ties in various fields.

Dughmi commended the level of the "friendly relations" established over 62 years by the two countries' leaders.

The meeting tackled many regional and international issues of joint interest. Dughmi stressed Jordan's stance toward the Palestinian cause and its support for Palestinians to defend their cause and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as the capital.

For his part, Won-wook lauded the "high level of the friendly ties," underscoring his country's commitment to advancing relations with Jordan in economic, technological, cultural, and commercial fields.

The delegation, which includes representatives from economic, industrial, and commercial sectors, visited Jordan to boost the level of bilateral ties, he added.
