Ammon News - Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Najjar on Saturday pledged to address the public's complaints with operators and maintenance teams across the country despite the "critical water situation."

He spoke during a meeting with Water Authority Secretary-General Bashar Batayneh, directors of water companies and all those concerned with water supply and operation.

The meeting tackled the water situation during this summer in light of water shortages and low supply from the various sources, attacks on water lines, power outages, and rising water demand amid soaring temperatures.

The minister stressed the need to forge ahead with the ministry's contingency plan, which includes operating some new water resources and the redistribution of supplies according to priority areas.
