Ammon News - Primark are selling a pair of slip-on shoes similar to the infamous Crocs clogs, but shoppers aren't convinced by the £4 shoes as some have called them the 'ugliest ever'.

Primark has been blasted for selling a pair of £4 shoes that are described as the ' ugliest ever ' as one shopper said they would 'never ever put these on my feet'.

Some shoppers had nice things to say about the shoes, which come in an array of colours and look very similar to another derided type of footwear - the Crocs clogs.

But while a pair of Crocs will set you back £40, Primark are selling these slip-ons for just £4 - but the design doesn't have everyone pleased, as the Manchester Evening News reports.

One shopper was so displeased that they took a picture of the shoes and shared them on the Facebook page Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, and soon a fierce debate was sparked online.

Some people loved them, with Shirley Medd saying: "These are brilliant to slip on when you're nipping to hang the washing out."

And another user named Spamm Ellward added: "I’ve walked miles in these on my holiday, what a bargain they was."

Then Carla Cass wrote: "Crocs are the best. I love them... crocs and socks for the win."

"I got these and I love them," Sophie Dooley said.

But other shoppers weren't so convinced and they didn't hold back in the comments.

Sharon Brannigan wrote: "Never, ever, ever will I put these on my feet - no way."

And Suz Hufton-Milnes blasted: "Ask yourself why they are £4. They are the ugliest shoes ever."

Tina Richardson said: "Working in these are one thing, but to wear for fashion - eh, no. However, they are great to wear when cutting the grass. - just rinse clean."

Wendy Mcgurty said: "Great for gardening.. Nothing else."

And Sammie Hutchinson criticised: "Wouldn’t take a pair if they were free."

Michelle Collins Williams commented: "Set them on fire."

Kate Moscrop said: "They could be free and I’d still leave them in the store."
