Ammon News - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh will partake in the 6th Brussels Conference on Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region, slated for May 10.

The conference, organized by the European Union, seeks to encourage further international support for refugees and host communities in the region by offering humanitarian aid and bolstering economic recovery, a ministry statement said on Thursday.

It also aims at urging the international community to shoulder its responsibility in supporting Jordan as a host country, especially since the crisis is still casting its shadows on various vital sectors in Jordan, it added.

The conference is an opportunity to meet with several partners of Jordan to discuss bilateral relations and development, it noted.
