The Cabinet approved an amendment to the system for the recognition of non-Jordanian higher education institutions and the equivalency of their certificates for 2022.

Under the amendment, the non-Jordanian certificates equivalency committee will be reconstituted to become headed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the membership of the Ministry's Secretary-General as deputy chairman of the committee.

It also approved the administrative organisation system for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for 2022, enabling the Ministry to implement its strategic plan being the driving force behind the system.

The Cabinet agreed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health would move forward in establishing a Jordanian national laboratory on the human genome and personalised medicine applications in cooperation with Harvard University.

The Cabinet also approved the national waste management plan for 2022-2026, aimed at limiting the spread of waste and its indiscriminate dumping through the development of regulatory legislation and the development of a general framework.
