JFDA inspects 1,400 facilities in week two of Ramadan

Ammon News - The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) monitoring and inspection teams conducted 1,400 inspections during the second week of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement on Wednesday, JFDA's Director-General Nizar Mheidat said that 6 alimentation facilities were shut down, 40 suspended, and 665 others warned for violating the administration's health standards.

It also destroyed 5 tons of food and 2,000 liters of liquid, and took 112 samples of the local market's foodstuffs, he added.
