Cabinet passes Children's Rights bill

19-04-2022 02:57 PM

Ammon News - The Council of Ministers passed the Children's Rights bill 2022 during a session held on Sunday.

The law is in line with new constitutional amendments, which underlined child protection and care through legislation that regulates the relationship between concerned public and private entities and grassroots organisations.

The draft's passage is pertinent to the Kingdom's ratification of the United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child, which requires legislative and administrative measures to enforce children's rights recognized in the convention.

The law is considered an investment in childhood and is in favour of the development process as it guarantees the child's right to education, health and social care.
