Deputy President of the Truck Owners Syndicate Nael Thiabat on Sunday said that 300 tanker trucks loaded with crude oil from the Iraqi Baiji refinery have arrived at the Iraqi-Jordanian border, in preparation for their entry into the Kingdom in the upcoming hours, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The shipment will transit to Jordan after completing the official correspondences and logistics, he said, adding that shipment preparation began in early April as part of a joint agreement to supply Jordan with about 300,000 barrels of oil per month, at a rate of 10,000 barrels per day.

He stressed that the oil shipments, which will arrive in the upcoming hours, will supply the Kingdom with about 60,000 barrels. Logistical challenges at the beginning of February had hindered the supply operations.

Thiabat praised the efforts of the Iraq side for working to overcome all difficulties in the process of supplying the Kingdom with oil, highlighting the continuous coordination to facilitate the transfer of Iraqi oil shipments to Jordan.
