Ammon News - A stadium in the United States is selling a burger for £25,000 ($33,000) to commemorate the Atlanta Braves' 2021 World Series title - but fans aren't convinced it's worth the price-tag.

A baseball stadium in America is selling an incredibly expensive burger for a whopping £25,000 ($33,000).

The unique burger is intended to commemorate the Atlanta Braves' 2021 World Series title and has caused a stir on social media, with many people sharing their thoughts.

For the hefty price tag, the burger includes a lot of fancy ingredients, including a Wagyu beef patty, pan-fried eggs, foie gras, lobster tail, Tillamook cheddar cheese, truffle aioli and an heirloom tomato. It also comes with a side of parmesan waffle fries.

There are two variants of the burger - the cheaper option costs £116 ($151) the price of which is in reference to the 151 years the Braves have existed. It comes with a replica 2021 World Series ring.

The far pricier burger costs £25,000 ($33,000) and comes with a limited edition championship ring.

A number of Twitter users were baffled by the price of the burger, with some branding it "ridiculous".

One person wrote: "I'll be putting out a gofundme to buy this burger at the next braves game."

A second shared: "Who asked for this?"

A third added: "How many do you think they will sell? I'm a foodie and love that baseball has unique menu items, but I'm not paying $151.00 for this. I'm probably not spending more than $25.00 or so."

"Like everything about this is awful," a fourth commented.

Someone else shared: "First of all you paying over a hundred for tickets second why would I pay this much for a frozen wagyu patty."

However, not everyone was opposed to the idea of the burger, with some fans really excited to try it.

One encouraged: "You gotta try it ONCE! c'mon!"

Another agreed, adding: "This weekend going to give it a try!!"

The Braves won their first World Series title since 1995 last November, defeating the Houston Astros in four out of six games.

After their victory, star player Freddie Freeman said: "I'm still numb. I don't really have emotions. I'm kind of trying to tell you guys things of how I feel because I don't really feel anything yet."
