Ammon News - A military evacuation plane arrived at Marka Airport from Bucharest, carrying 65 Jordanian citizens and their families from Ukraine via Romania, as part of His Majesty King Abdullah II's directives to evacuate Jordanian citizens from Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs announced on Wednesday.
With the plane's arrival, the number of Jordanians, who returned to the Kingdom, rose to 90, following 25 citizens' repatriation earlier, after crossing the borders to Ukraine's neighboring countries, in light of the rising tension as a result of the military actions there, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
The ministry announced early Tuesday that it had facilitated transit and entry procedures for 537 Jordanians and their families, at Ukraine's border crossings with neighboring countries, which include Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova.
The ministry said the Jordanians and their families were provided with all forms of assistance, support, and necessary services, checked on their safety and conditions, adding that their needs were secured and their return to the Kingdom was facilitated.
