Ammon News - The total number of registered accounts to benefit from the subsidised electricity tariff for the domestic sector has reached 677.200 out of a total of 3.435 million people who visited the site, the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) on Wednesday announced.
Jordanians wishing to benefit from the subsidised tariff constituted 98.62 per cent. The number of registered people from the Gaza Strip residing in Jordan reached 1.3 per cent. The number of temporary Jordanian passport holders reached 0.09 per cent, and Jordanian women married to non-Jordanians reached 1.41 per cent, according to EMRC data.
To date, the website, dedicated to the subsidised electric tariff for the domestic sector, received 1, 743 remarks, inquiries and complaints, of which 1,714 were addressed, while the process of handling the remaining complaints is underway.
The EMRC called on those targeted categories to register on the website kahraba.gov.jo, knowing that the new tariff will enter into force as of 1st next April.
