Crown Prince encourages youth participation in elections, merit-based voting

Ammon News - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Wednesday stressed the importance of active participation in the upcoming municipal and governorate council elections, especially among youth.

During a meeting with youth activists from several sectors in Zarqa, Crown Prince Al Hussein said voting should be based on merit and efficiency.

His Royal Highness also called on youth to enrol in professional and technical training programmes to enter the labour market, citing a comprehensive strategic plan in this field that seeks to develop curricula and advance these programmes.

The young attendees spoke about their experiences in various fields, including social development, youth empowerment, legal awareness, encouraging political participation through partisan activism, encouraging a culture of dialogue through debates, voluntary and philanthropic work, community service, and health awareness.
