Ministry stresses commitment to enhancing education

Ammon News - The Ministry of Education, as part of its commitment to development and reforms, bears in mind royal directives to follow up on and implement the 2016-2025 National Strategy to Develop Human Resources, said Minister Wajih Owais.

Chairing a Central Planning Committee meeting on Wednesday, Owais indicated that the ministry is aware of the urgent need to develop and improve the educational process to achieve a top-grade and just education for students regardless of their places of residence.

The minister pointed to preschool education, which lays the groundwork for raising future generations, highlighting that the ministry is developing curricula that focuses on critical thinking, analysis and life skills rather than rote learning.

On training teachers, Owais pointed out that the ministry prepared comprehensive training programs, underscoring that the training takes into account the advances in the education field.

In this regard, he pointed to the ministry's educational and training platforms, including extra curricular activities and virtual labs, underlining commitment to improve curricula to keep abreast of the latest education technology.

The ministry, he noted, plans to build 10 new schools annually, adding that this will be in accordance with the population's needs across the Kingdom.
