Ammon News - The Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that 18 coronavirus deaths and 9,117 cases were recorded in the Kingdom, raising the pandemic's death toll to 13,731 and the caseload to1,591,278.
The positivity rate of about 42,117 PCR tests collected today was at 21.65 per cent, according to the ministry's daily media brief, which also showed that currently active Covid-19 cases stood at 145,399, with 162 admitted to hospitals today, raising hospitalizations to 978. Some 194 cases left hospitals today.
On hospitals' capacity countrywide, the ministry said the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was at 19%, intensive care beds 34% and respirators 13%.
In the central region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 23%, ICU beds 37% and respirators 16%, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation wards was at 15%, ICU beds 21% and respirators 14%, according to the figures.
They also showed that 17,550 coronavirus patients have recovered, bringing total recoveries expected after the end of the isolation period to 1,432,148.
Daily vaccination figures released by the ministry also showed that 4,669,073 people have taken the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and the number of those who were double-jabbed climbed to 4,347,383.
