Ammon News - Jordan on Monday denounced a ballistic missile launch by the Houthi militias on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), describing the attack as a "cowardly terrorist act".

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the attack is a flagrant breach of international law, stressing Jordan's unwavering solidarity with the UAE against all that threatens its security.

Earlier, the UAE ministry of defense said its air defenses "had intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles targeting the UAE, which were fired by the Houthi terrorist militia", according to a statement carried by the UAE official news agency (WAM).

The statement said there were no casualties resulting from the attack, indicating that fragments of the ballistic missiles fell in different areas around the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

On January 17, three people were killed and six others were injured after the Houthi militia launched a drone attack targeting civilian facilities in the UAE.
