Ammon News - A dad was left in hysterics when he realised that his daughter had made a few major modifications to the Mcdonald's Big Mac he was ordering from the JustEat app.
A little girl left her dad in hysterics after she played the ultimate McDonald's prank on him.
Kelsie, 10, from Bolton, was entrusted by her dad Gaz Griffin to place her standard Big Mac order through the JustEat app.
But while Gaz, 42, was tidying the bedroom upstairs, Kelsey saw an opportunity to play a prank on him.
She removed the burger's signature two beef patties, along with pickles, shredded lettuce, onion, sesame bun and the iconic Big Mac sauce.
She then opted to go large on the meal and order extra Big Mac sauce.
When the £6.29 meal turned up at the door 30 minutes later, the prankster raced upstairs to hand her dad the box with just a slice of cheese inside.
"I found it funny. It was my own fault for not checking it over first", Gaz said.
"With all those options she obviously got a bit too giddy.
"I'm just surprised that no one rang to check that's what we wanted."
Kelsie and her younger sister Portia, eight, had been staying at their dad's house at the weekend when they were asked if they wanted a takeaway for dinner.
Gaz added: "She came running upstairs shouting "daddy, look at this".
"I was so confused when she showed me the Big Mac box, so I checked over the order and realised what she'd done.
"I wasn't too worried about the waste of money, I just found it amusing that she'd paid to go large too as well as extra sauce, after asking for no sauce.
"I did order her another, that I did myself this time!
"It was good of JustEat to refund us for it."
When they returned home to their mum Heather's house the next day, Kelsie retold her antics.
Heather, a communications and marketing manager, added: "When Gaz dropped the girls off home Sunday night, it's a common theme that I ask them what they've eaten with him so I don't repeat the same meals.
"I couldn't help but laugh when asking Kelsie what she'd ordered from Mcdonald's on the Saturday.
"God knows what the person at McDonald's thought when they received the order."
Heather uploaded photos of the meal onto Facebook, where it has racked up 6,400 likes so far.
The post read: "If you’re going to let your children add their own order on just eat, always check it before submitting it.
"My 10-year-old’s dad learnt this the hard way."
Facebook users were quick to see the funny side, with one writing: "I can’t believe they would actually only send a piece of cheese tho they must have a right laugh sometimes [sic]"
Another added: "They must’ve had a right laugh putting that together."
"What’s with the no sauce then extra sauce," wrote a third bemused user.
Another said that, despite the lack of ingredients, the post still made them hungry, commenting: "This made me laugh, want a Big Mac now though."
"I’m vegetarian and love cheese so this is perfect for me but oh no!" added someone else.
Others felt sorry for Gaz, commenting: "Most expensive slice of cheese he'll ever buy."
A second Facebooker glaringly pointed out: "Expensive cheese slice that."
Another user added: "Aw thank you for sharing, this actually made me laugh out loud."
