Ammon News - The National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) Monday said the centre is looking for alternatives to traditional farming and that soilless agriculture is an "important" option.
NARC researcher Abdullah Dahadleh said the technology does not require special soil to grow vegetables in greenhouses, highlighting it would save water, fertilizers and effort.
Dahadleh said that the centre seeks to bring in more agriculture projects to conduct studies and leverage the expertise of countries advanced in the field. He added they are also in the process of sorting more workshops for agriculture engineers and fresh graduates.
