Committee recommends self-quarantine for Omicron infections

Ammon News - The National Epidemiology Committee on Monday recommended that Omicron patients undergo self-quarantine rather than institutional quarantine.

As of today, the Omicron caseload in the Kingdom hit 328, the Ministry of Health announced, stressing that all the patients are in good health.

Committee member and COVID-19 pointman, Adel Balbisi, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra), that those attending any New Year's celebrations are required to show COVID-19 vaccine certificates, and a negative PCR tests taken up to 48 hours before the event. If three months had passed since receiving the second jab, individuals who are attending such events are required to take the booster shot beforehand, he explained.
