Ammon News - The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) and Qatar Charity on Saturday launched the 2021-2022 winter campaign “Warmth and Peace” to support underprivileged families and Syrian refugees in the Kingdom.
According to a JHCO statement, the campaign offers vouchers, in cooperation with charities and the National Aid Fund, to purchase food, fuel, clothes and blanket from the local market.
Secretary General of the JHCO Hussein Abbadi lauded the partnership with Qatar Charity, noting that the beneficiaries, vulnerable families and refugees, were chosen from five governorates, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Director of Qatar Charity Office in Amman Munther Haj Hassan said that the three-month campaign is dedicated to provide winter essentials for some 200,000 beneficiaries, notably in five main fields: Food, shelter and non-food items, including winter clothes, blankets, heating fuel, as well as providing medical supplies besides sterilisers amid the pandemic.
