Ammon News - Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel arrested 3 drug dealers in southern Amman and Central Badia, and seized 160,000 narcotic pills in their possession.

AND personnel will continue their campaigns against drug dealers, adding that they dealt with two cases of promoting and trafficking narcotic substances in southern Amman and Central Badia, the Public Security Department (PSD) spokesperson said Monday in a statement.

The statement added: "in the first case, AND personnel tracked two suspects in trafficking and promoting narcotic substances after receiving information on their possession of large quantities of narcotic pills and that they offered them for sale inside the Kingdom. They were arrested while transporting narcotic substances and 130,000 narcotic pills in their possession were seized."

"The second case, AND personnel raided a dealer and promoter of narcotic substances in a Central Badia area after collecting information that confirmed his possession of a quantity of narcotic pills and that he had tried to promote and sell them inside the Kingdom. Then, he was arrested and 30,000 narcotic pills in his possession, in addition to a firearm were seized," the statement noted.
