Industry Chamber: Embassies have key role to promote national industry

Ammon News - Jordan Chamber of Industry President Fathi Jaghbir said Saturday that an enhanced role of Jordanian embassies abroad will contribute to raising the export capacity of the industrial sector through opening new markets for the Kingdom's exports, Jordan News Agency Petra reported.

Jaghbir said during a meeting with newly-appointed ambassador to Morocco Jumana Ghunaimat that Jordanian embassies can assume the task of promoting Jordanian industries, given the quality and competitiveness of the national industry.

Promoting Jordanian industries, he stressed, should be on top of the ambassadors' agenda, noting that supporting the sector will have a positive impact on GDP growth.

He pledged the chamber would offer all possible support to Jordanian embassies to highlight the industrial sector's potential, according to Petra.

Ghunaimat pledged to highlight the various economic sectors, top of which is the national industry, and the Kingdom's investment advantages.

She stressed that communication channels will remain open with the Jordanian economic sectors to identify with the business opportunities in Morocco.
