Ammon News - Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity Abdulhamid Aldabaiba, pledged to soon settle debts owed by Libyan patients to Jordanian hospitals and private autism centers, Jordan News Agency Petra reported.

Aldabaiba gave his remarks during a visit to the Autism Academy of Jordan (AAJ), accompanied by Libyan Health Minister, Ali Zanati, Libyan Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, and Head of the Libyan Investment Authority, Ali Mahmoud.

Aldabaiba lauded the academy's services provided to Libyan students, stressing that cases of autism have clearly increased during the past ten years in Libya, as work is currently being done to establish the Libyan Academy for Autism to benefit from the Jordanian expertise in this regard.

An agreement will also be signed soon with the Jordanian Academy for twinning between the two academies through management, exchange of expertise, and rehabilitation of health and administrative cadres, Aldabaiba added, as reported by Petra.

Aldabaiba and the accompanying delegation toured the academy building, ad was briefed on services provided to the scholarship students and the services of the dormitory.

He also met with some of the students’ families and listened to their evaluation and their satisfaction with the services provided at the academy.

In turn, AAJ Director General Jamal Dalahmeh, highlighted the AAJ's work mechanism and services it provides to students, extending his thanks to Aldabaiba and his accompanying delegation on the visit, which is the first conducted by a high-ranking Libyan official to the academy.

Dalahmeh pointed out that the AAJ provided cooperation and facilities to Libyan students during the past years, expressing his hope for the continuation of this cooperation, underlining the academy's readiness to exchange expertise with the Libyan Academy in the field of autism.
