Industry Minister, UK envoy discuss partnership agreement, as Amman's exports raised by 31%

Ammon News - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali discussed with British Ambassador in Amman Bridget Brind ways to reinvigorate the Jordan-UK partnership agreement, which came into force on May 1st, 2021.

In a meeting between the two sides ways to broaden scopes of trade, economic and investment between the two Kingdoms were figured high, in a way that contribute to boosting the volume of trade exchange, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

The meeting, it added, touched on forming specialized teams in economic and trade spheres in accordance with national priorities of both countries.

Jordan’s exports to the UK in the first five months of 2021 stood at $11.8 million, compared with some $8 million in the same period of 2020, the statement added.
