The Senate on Thursday returned the draft anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism law to the Lower House.
The senators disagreed with deputies over the measures for the on-site inspection of the supervisory bodies (the Central Bank of Jordan and the Jordan Securities Commission), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The draft is part of Jordan's international commitment to anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism and the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction pursuant with the findings of the Kingdom's 2020 mutual evaluation process.
