Ammon News - Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh on Saturday visited the Dana Biosphere Reserve in the southern Governorate of Tafileh.
The Prime Minister lauded efforts of official of the reserve, which is the largest natural reserve in the Kingdom.
He stressed the need to promote the marketing of the reserve on the map of local, Arab and international tourism to enhance the attraction of tourists and tourism investments for the reserve.
In this regard, Khasawneh called for working with the competent authorities to attract tourist groups, similar to many of the tourist and archaeological sites in the Kingdom.
The Prime Minister met with a group of residents of the area, and said that intensifying citizens' access to vaccinations is essential to return to normal life.
He pointed out that the return and promotion of tourism in the Dana reserve will reflect mainly on the community members and the local community and owners of professions and crafts that have been affected by the Corona pandemic.
Khasawneh was briefed by officials of the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) about the importance of the Dana Reserve, which is characterized by biodiversity and is home to a large variety of wildlife.
The reserve, which covers an area of 320 km, contains a large group of unique and rare plants, animals and birds.
During his tour in the reserve, The premier also met a woman from Tafila governorate who set up a restaurant in the reserve.
