The Ministry of Health closed down 13 facilities during its inspection tours of commercial complexes (malls), entertainment venues, children's amusement parks, restaurants and cafes during the Eid al-Adha holiday, for violating defense orders.
The ministry said that it has closed 11 facilities in the central region, one in the southern region and another in the northern region, as part of a strict control campaign implemented by the Ministry of Health on facilities in all governorates of the Kingdom to reach a smoke-free environment and limit the spread of the Coronavirus infection, a ministry statement explained.
The statement indicated that violations were the provision of hookah service inside closed halls, in violation of Public Health Law No. 47 of 2008 and its amendments.
