Jordan records 15 COVID-19 fatalities, 485 new cases on Saturday

The Ministry of Health announced 15 Covid-19 fatalities and 485 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 9,948 and the caseload to 763, 922.


There are currently 7, 568 cases on Saturday countrywide, according to the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health.


The statement added that the number of patients who were admitted to hospitals today stood at 75, while 38 cases have recovered and discharged, the statement added.


According to the briefing, the total number of recoveries recorded Saturday, whether at hospitals or at home, stood at 569 bringing the total to 746,406 since the outbreak began.


Moreover, the number of Covid-19 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals countrywide has reached 520.


The statement also indicated that occupancy of ICU beds in the northern, central and southern regions, has has reached 15%, 27%, and 7%, respectively.
With regard to testing, 16, 620 tests were conducted Saturday, 2.92 percent of which were positive.


Since last March, the total number of tests administered has increased to 8,324, 525, the joint statement noted.
