A slight drop in mercury levels will bring cooler weather across the Kingdom's highlands after a hot air mass brought intense heat earlier in the week.
The highs will remain in the 29-33 degrees Celsius vicinity in the central, northern and southern highlands, dropping to as low as 16 degrees at night, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department. Another slight drop is forecast on Thursday.
However, the Jordan Valley, Aqaba and much of the country's badia area will continue to bake in searing heat with the highs remaining in the neighborhood of 40+ degree Celsius.
