Ammon News - The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply is continuing its intensive inspections to monitor markets before and during the holy Eid al-Adha, to ensure that traders comply with the Industry and Trade Law requirements, and announce prices.
Prior to Eid al-Adha, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, visited Monday markets and shops in a number of districts, and market of the Civil Service Consumer Corporation in the Al-Bayader Wadi Al-Seer district.
Ali said that prices of most commodities, such as oil, sugar and rice, are stable, according to the ministry's price monitoring, through cadres of market monitoring.
The minister, accompanied by President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, stressed the need to maintain price stability, and to continue to adhere to defense orders related to prevention measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ali was briefed by a number of mall and civil consumer corporation visitors about services provided, the availability of products, and the stability of prices.
The minister was also briefed from the director of the Al-Bayader Civil Consumer Corporation branch about the availability of quantities and the stability of prices, as the Corporation recently reduced the prices of 200 commodities to ease pressure on citizens.
