Ammon News -

Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh issued Defense Order No. (32) of 2021, which regulates the work of individuals who have not received the Covid-19 vaccine in public and private sector facilities and some professions.

Minister of State for Media Affairs, Sakher Dudin, said the Prime Minister chaired a Cabinet meeting, attended by a number of ministers and officials, which discussed the latest developments of the epidemiological situation, and measures to be taken in light of the worrying indicators regionally and globally due to the hike in infections.

In light of the developments, the meeting stressed the need to move forward in two parallel tracks, the first of which is to intensify the work of the national vaccination program and to increase the demand for vaccinations, as it is the most effective way to reach a safe summer in which all sectors are open, and the second is to continue to adhere to means of prevention and safety measures such as wearing masks, and keeping physical distancing, not holding gatherings, and other measures, the government spokesperson added.

Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, Dudin noted, has directed Ministers of Tourism, Antiquities, Industry, Trade, Supply, Interior, Health, Labor, Transport, Mayor of Amman, and all ministries and public institutions to intensify inspection and control campaigns for adherence to safety and prevention measures, and to never tolerate violations that may endanger people's health and safety.

On a related matter, Dudin announced that the Prime Minister issued Communiqué No. (41) of 2021 regulating the benefit of some groups from the Istedamah (sustainability) program implemented by the Social Security Corporation (SSC).

He noted that the details of the defense order and the new communiqué will be announced through the official platforms of the Prime Minister today.
