Prince Mired meets with two members of Royal committee

Ammon News - HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), in separate meetings with two members of the Royal Committee to Modernise Political System on Monday discussed including some amendments to support people with disabilities’ political and civil rights.

During the meetings with Laith Nasrawin, rapporteur of the Secondary Committee for the Constitutional Amendments, and Omar Jazi, member of the Elections Committee, Prince Mired highlighted the importance of reviewing laws to ensure they consider the rights of people with disabilities and requirements to enhance their role in public life.

The two members agreed to review some legislation to reach the best outcome to realise equality in political rights, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
