Ammon News - Relatively hot weather is expected to prevail on Tuesday and Wednesday in the highlands and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, as temperatures will register few degrees above annual average, reaching a high of 33 degrees Celsius in Amman during daytime, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as mercury levels slide to around 23C. In the port city of Aqaba, daytime temperatures will stand at 42C degrees, while lows will slide to 28C at night.
The JMD warned of the danger of direct exposure to sunlight at noon, mainly in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
A further increase in mercury levels is forecast on Thursday, becoming 3-4 degrees higher than seasonal average and making sweltering weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while it will remain relatively hot in the hilly areas and the plains, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
