JFDA shuts down cosmetics shop for expiry date manipulation

Ammon News - An Amman cosmetics shop was shut down after it was found tampering with products' expiry dates. The matter came to light during a raid by law-enforcement officers of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration's (JFDA).

In a statement on Monday, JFDA Director General Nizar Muhaidat said that the teams carry out periodic inspection tours to follow up on the safety and quality of cosmetics and ensure compliance with the administration's health requirements and standards.

Muhaidat stressed that the JFDA will not tolerate any practices that would endanger public health and safety.
