In a statement on Monday, JFDA Director General Nizar Muhaidat said that the teams carry out periodic inspection tours to follow up on the safety and quality of cosmetics and ensure compliance with the administration's health requirements and standards. Muhaidat stressed that the JFDA will not tolerate any practices that would endanger public health and safety. He also called on citizens to contact the department if they have any observations, inquiries or complaints via the toll-free line 117114, or via e-mail info@jfda.jo, or via "WhatsApp" on the number 0795632000 available around the clock.

Ammon News - An Amman cosmetics shop was shut down after it was found tampering with products' expiry dates. The matter came to light during a raid by law-enforcement officers of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration's (JFDA).
