Minister checks on return to normal service at Prince Hamzah Hospital

Health Minister, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prince Hamzah Hospital, Firas Hawari Saturday called on the government-run facility to check first-hand on the level of service after the gradual return to work in the various wards.

Hospital Director Kifah Abu Tarboush told Petra in an interview that the hospital had exclusively conducted many delicate surgeries and complex medical procedures during the coronavirus pandemic as the facility, located in East Amman, was designated for Covid patients.

The minister's tour was to learn about the progress of work, especially after the hospital gradually resumed handling scheduled cases and the kidney transplant programme, said Tarboush.

Last week, the hospital performed a number of cardiac catheterization procedures for infants, Tarboush said.
